Honest Review: Strengths & Weaknesses

Here’s what stands out — what you get that’s good, and what to watch out for.

👍 What’s Good

  1. Durability / Ruggedness
The triple IP rating (IP66 + IP68 + IP69) is impressive. It really protects from dust, water submersion, high-pressure water jets, etc. Good for use outdoors, in tough conditions.
  2. Huge battery life
7,000 mAh is very generous. In typical use it lasts more than a day and a half easily. For heavy users, this is a big plus.
  3. Decent display
The 6.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED gives smooth experience, good colours and viewing angles. While not top-tier brightness like some flagships, outdoors visibility is acceptable.
  4. OIS camera & versatile rear sensor
The 50 MP main sensor with OIS helps for steadier shots, especially in low to moderate lighting. Daylight performance is good.
  5. Fast charging (80W)
Brings back a lot of battery fast enough. Even with large battery, charging time is reasonably fast (just over an hour in tests).

👎 What’s Weak / Trade-offs

  1. Chipset is not the newest
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is solid but not bleeding edge at this point. For heavy gaming or long-term high-performance needs (e.g. high FPS gaming, demanding apps), it may start lagging compared to newer/flagship chips.
  2. Bloatware / software clutter
ColorOS 15 has many AI/utility features, which is nice, but also comes with lots of pre-installed apps, games, notifications from things you may not want. Cleaning them up takes effort.
  3. Camera portrait / low-light is average
While the main camera is good in daylight, portraits (especially edge detection) and very low light conditions are just okay—not best in class. The secondary 2 MP mono sensor is more of a cosmetic bump.
  4. Weight & size
At ~195 g and 6.8-inch display, it’s a big phone. Also, though thin, carrying such a large battery and durable build implies bulk. If you prefer compact phones, this is not it. Also, for some “pocketability” it may be tight.
  5. Competition is strong
In this price range (₹30-35k), other phones may offer better gaming performance, better camera setups (ultra-wide, telephoto), or cleaner UI. So the value depends on which features matter more to you.

Verdict: Who It’s For & Alternatives

This phone is best if you:

  • Need a smartphone that survives heat, water, dust, etc.; use it outdoors, in harsh environments.
  • Prioritize battery life and durability over raw speed or ultra-premium camera performance.
  • Want a large screen, decent performance, and reliability rather than chasing specs.

Maybe reconsider or look elsewhere if you:

  • Are a gamer who wants highest frame rates + latest GPU performance.
  • Want the absolute best camera in all lighting (ultra-wide, zoom, low light) — there are phones which specialize in those.
  • Hate having to disable bloatware, want minimal clean UI.

Alternatives you might compare:

  • Phones around ₹30-35k with stronger gaming chips like some offerings from iQOO, POCO, Realme.
  • Phones with better camera lenses (wide-angle, telephoto) in a similar price bracket.
  • Possibly rugged phones by other brands, or phones with IP ratings but more camera features.
